For nearly two decades, American Aquarium have combined their gritty breed of country-rock with brave, incisive songwriting that reflects on matters both personal and sociocultural. 

An alternative country band from Raleigh, N.C., American Aquarium has released 10 studio albums, working with such producers as Jason Isbell and Shooter Jennings. Lead vocalist BJ Barham has led the group through a variety of incarnations since 2006, penning most of their songs based on his own experiences and thoughts.
