Cross Canadian Ragweed in Concert at McLane Stadium: Aug. 23, 2025
Cross Canadian Ragweed
One of the most influential indie country rock bands of the late 1990s and early 2000s, Cross Canadian Ragweed disbanded in 2010 -- until 2025, when they reunited for four sold-out shows in Stillwater, Okla., and another sold-out show at Waco's McLane Stadium.
Formed in Yukon, Okla., in 1994, group was at the forefront of the rise of red dirt music scene in Oklahoma and Texas, releasing five studio albums and three live albums between 1994-2010. An early song was used in Dodge truck commercials across the region, helping grow awareness of the band. In the 2000s, they had four albums reach the top 10 on U.S. country charts, and seven top-100 country singles.
In 2010, however, the group first paused touring, then broke up entirely as life's demands pulled the band's members in different directions. But in September 2024, the group announced the first of what would become four sold-out shows in Stillwater that announced Cross Canadian Ragweed's return to the world.
